Next week it is time for the opening of the first Fiskars Village Art & Design Biennale. Fiskars-based Finnish furniture manufacturer Nikari is responsible for building four benches for the Biennale exhibition. The benches are designed by Wataru Kumano, Klaus Hackl, Cecilie Manz, and Hugo Passos.
The benches are also a part of Social Seating, an exhibition at the Biennale curated by British designer Jasper Morrison. The exhibition showcases 18 benches designed by 18 designers from all around the world with the theme of sharing and coexistence. The bench is designed to be shared, thus beautifully reflecting the Fiskars Village Art & Design Biennale’s message of coexistence.
2019 Fiskars Village Art & Design Biennale exhibitions are open to public from the 19th of May to the 15th of September.
