Bildmuseet in Umeå is open again – Faith Ringgold retrospective exhibition on view

As an artist, activist and author, Faith Ringgold has challenged injustices and prejudices about Afro-American identity for five decades. In a large retrospective exhibition, Bildmuseet presents her paintings, graphics and textile works from the 1960s to the 2000s.

The exhibition is produced by Serpentine Galleries, London, where it was curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist and Melissa Blanchflower. Responible for the exhibition at Bildmuseet is museum curator Anders Jansson. It is on view between August 27 and Januari 10 2021.
