The prize was established in 2002; an initiative of Forum's then-editor Mark Isitt, who wanted a personal award where the judge must stand behind his or her choice of winner. Designer Björn Dahlström was the first judge in 2002. Since then, the award has grown in respect to become a prominent and popular feature at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair.
This year's recipient of Form +1 Award was chosen by Johan Lindau and Kenneth Ståhl at the Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair this February. Their choice was the Levels lamp by Form Us With Love for One Nordic Furniture Company.
