Late modernist cityplanning has taken on a different meaning today in Stockholm, the Swedish capital that has become one of the most segregated cities in Europe. “Reports from the new Sweden”, currently shown at the art gallery Tensta Konsthall, is an exhibition on cultural heritage and identity in the Million Programme suburb Tensta – a remnant from a different era, when the Swedish welfare state was built.
