Architect Ragnar Östberg looks out over the horizon in 1934. Maybe he's contemplating his biggest contribution to Stockholm's skyline and in that, he's hardly alone. Everyone from Nobel laureates to Stockholm residents have spent the last 90 years admiring the more than 100-metre tall City Hall.

Danish fiber cement manufacturer, Cembrit invites designers and architects from across the world to submit their own take on fiber cement and its uses in the urban environment. Called Bullhorn, the contest opens next year as a part of Helsinki World Design Capital 2012.

At Stockholm's Furniture Fair, Form's +1 Award was presented to this year's winner Thomas Bernstrand for his ”Ivy” shelving. +1 Award is an annual relay title where the winners of the previous year choose the recipient of the next award. »
